1. What are Rubbabu toys made from?
The toys are made from natural rubber foam. They are then covered with (flocked over with) nylon flock which is sourced from the finest flock company in the world: Swicofil in Switzerland. 2. What are the advantages of natural rubber foam over synthetic foam? Natural Rubber Foam, besides being durable and flexible and mostly stronger than synthetic foams, is also anti microbial, is dust mite resistant, mildew resistant, hypo-allergenic and flame retardant. 3. How is it considered green, why is it called biodegradable, and what is meant by hand made? Natural rubber foam is made from the sap of the rubber tree, the tree does not even have to be cut unlike wooden items. Being natural, it is biodegradable, except for the nylon covering and the ABS used in tire axles / hubs. The process is like baking bread, the product is not made in machines, but rather hand poured and baked in molds like bread. Then it is finished by hand. Read more. 4. Will the toy get cleaned easily? Yes, by cleaning with a damp cloth or brush. We don’t recommend machine washing, because the smoothness of the surface may not remain after a few washes. 5. Why does it say “not a teething toy”? Is it safe for 0+? The toy marked 0+ is completely safe for all ages. However teething children may be able to bite the rubber with their sharp teeth – this is why we specify that it is not a teething toy. 6. How can I be sure these toys are safe? They are tested according to international (US, European, and other) toy safety standards. Read our product safety page, where you will find testing information and the actual test reports of your toy as well. 7. Where can I buy Rubbabu? Our store locator is coming soon on the website. Till then, you can contact us, or our distributor in your country.
